The PM11A is an industrial switching power supply module (“Switching Power Supply Module”) manufactured by NEMIC-LAMBDA, used in CNC machine tool control systems. The unit provides regulated and stabilised DC voltages to the logic and control boards of the CNC system, supplying both the digital and analogue circuitry of the control panel. The PM11A belongs to the “PM” (Power Module) series by NEMIC-LAMBDA, designed for industrial environments with high stability and filtering requirements. The product may exist in multiple hardware revisions; original versions feature screw terminal blocks with direct cabinet wiring.
The power supply is the critical component that delivers stable power to all electronic boards of the CNC system: CPU, I/O, operator panel, and communication interfaces. A power supply failure causes the immediate shutdown of all control circuits, rendering the machine completely inoperable; out-of-tolerance output voltages may also cause cascade damage to the powered boards, significantly multiplying the overall restoration costs.
